MACE required specialised lifting services at Gatwick Airport. Working within a live, high-security airport presented multiple challenges and layers of complexity. The primary challenges included lifting airside restrictions, which dictate every aspect of plant and personnel movement near runways and operational zones. Restricted access presented further complications, requiring precise staging and execution. All work was bound by strict timescales, demanding rapid mobilisation and zero margin for error to prevent disruption to the airport's critical flight schedule.

The team's expertise ensured all prerequisite safety documentation - including the comprehensive site survey and RAMS - was prepared to an exceptional standard, allowing rapid approval by the Airport within the short timescales demanded.
